One partner for the vessel, the cargo and the clearance
Galene handles the whole chain around a vessel call: bringing stores, spares and crew to the ship, clearing the cargo, holding it in our warehouse, and moving it on by air, ocean or truck. You deal with one point of contact door to door. We make sure it gets on the ship, and we do the billing.
- On-board deliveries, launch services and crew transportation for vessels in port and at anchor
- Centralized customs brokerage: AMS filing in all 50 states, ISF filings, product classification and in-bond declarations
- Warehousing, export crating, consolidation and dangerous goods management
- Air freight as an Indirect Air Carrier, ocean imports and exports, and project management through a single logistics partner
Four capabilities, one accountable team
Transportation, customs, warehousing and 3PL are run by the same people under the same compliance standard, so nothing falls between vendors when a vessel call, an entry or a project shipment has to move.
People, QHSE, technology and compliance, in that order
Named after Galene, the Greek goddess of calm seas: calm seas do not make skilled sailors, but every shipper welcomes the comfort and safety of a calm port.
People and Community First
People and community first. The crews, drivers, brokers and vendors around a shipment are the operation, so we invest in them before anything else.
QHSE
Quality is not an act, it is a habit. Creating a healthier and safer workplace, and creating a greener environment on every job we run.
Technology
Providing full visibility to our clients to enhance our supply chain, from booking and customs status through to final delivery.
Compliance
Our commitment is to keep our people, vendors and clients compliant at all times, across customs, dangerous goods and port requirements.
Where the cargo is, is where we work
Alongside a berth, out at anchorage, on the terminal apron or in the warehouse aisle, our teams are on site with the paperwork in hand.

People and community first
Every vessel call, entry and delivery depends on people who arrive prepared, launch crews, drivers, brokers and warehouse teams, and the vendors standing behind them. We invest in those people, on the job and in the port communities they live in.
Quality is not an act, it is a habit.
What customers ask us before a shipment moves
Do you file AMS for spares coming off a vessel?
Yes. We are one of the very few who file AMS, we file in all 50 states, and we file it for other logistics companies too. Big carriers file AMS on the cargo but do not want to file it on spares coming off the vessel, and that is where we come in.
What forms do you need from me?
A Power of Attorney and our AMS / Landed Goods form. With that information we can clear in any port. For ocean shipments bound for the US we also need the ISF (10 + 2) form. All three are PDFs you can download from our contact page, so you can have them ready in advance.
When do you need my ISF information?
Please send the completed ISF form and a copy of the commercial invoice for each shipment 72 hours before the vessel departs from origin. If any of the information changes, tell us as soon as possible so we can send amendments to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Is customs the same at every port?
No. It is the same US government agency, but what we do in Houston is different from what we do in Norfolk, New York or San Francisco. The Power of Attorney and the AMS form stay the same. Everything after that depends on the port, and we handle it.
Which ports do you cover?
All ports in North America. We run our own trucks from Brownsville, Texas to Mobile, Alabama, we file AMS for all 50 states, and we handle on-board deliveries at almost every port through agents we have worked with for years.
Who is my point of contact for a shipment?
We are, door to door. We make sure it gets on the ship, and we do the billing.
Who do you work with?
Ship owners, the management companies that run ships for them, ship agents and repair companies. Almost everything we do has to do with a vessel, and most of our customers are overseas.
Do you handle air freight and ocean exports?
Yes. We are an Indirect Air Carrier (IAC), and we handle ocean exports as well as imports, so a shipment can stay with one team door to door.
